Are you a caring, enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about helping young children learn and grow? We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in primary schools in Maida Vale, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to support their academic, social and emotional development during their primary school years. You will work closely with class teachers to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment, helping pupils build confidence, develop essential skills and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small-group support in literacy, numeracy and other subjects. Assist pupils with reading, writing, phonics and basic mathematical skills. Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials. Encourage positive behaviour, participation and independence. Support pupils' social and emotional development. Assist with classroom management and daily school routines. Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs where required. Supervise pupils during classroom activities and other school activities, as appropriate. Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about working with children aged 4-11. Patient, caring, friendly and enthusiastic. Reliable, organised and proactive. Confident communicating with children and working as part of a team. Able to support children's learning across the primary curriculum. Committed to promoting a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment. Previous experience working in a primary school or a similar educational setting would be an advantage. Experience supporting phonics, early literacy, numeracy or pupils with additional needs would also be beneficial. Candidates looking to begin a career in education are welcome to apply.
