Could you help students thrive and start your own journey into the world of teaching in a fulfilling role that allows you to provide engaging academic support in the subject you love ?

An outstanding Secondary School in Wimbledon, which has a strong academic track record alongside a welcoming, and supportive staff team is seeking an English Graduate Academic Mentor to join them in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain classroom experience, working closely with students and teachers to support learning across the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

As an English Graduate Academic Mentor, you will:

• Use your degree and passions within English to inspire excellent learning outcomes
• Support students with learning both in and outside of the classroom
• Hold both 1-1 and small group study interventions
• Help pupils stay engaged and on track with their learning
• Instil a love for reading, writing and language in young people

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in your English Graduate Academic Mentor application, you should have:

• A 2:1 or higher degree in English, or related area of study
• Positive attitude towards learning and a great interpersonal skill
• Confident and approachable manner
• A proactive and supportive attitude
• Some interest in training to become a teacher
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
