Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative and engaging Chemistry lessons, catering to students at various levels
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to promote active learning and critical thinking
  • Incorporate practical experiments and real-world applications to enhance understanding of chemical concepts
  • Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to support their academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement the Chemistry curriculum
  • Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and individual student needs
  • Mentor and guide students in their personal and academic development
  • Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Chemistry, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Passionate about chemistry and inspiring students
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to professional growth and staying updated with the latest developments in Chemistry education
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage classroom activities
