GTM Engineer

About us

Humaans is building the next generation of infrastructure for the workplace; software designed for companies that are scaling fast, operating globally, and pushing into new boundaries.

What started as a system of record has evolved into a broader platform for operating people globally. With Athena, our agentic AI layer, Humaans moves beyond data management into intelligent orchestration, connecting workflows across HR, IT, Finance, and Operations so organisations can act faster and with greater confidence, redefining how work gets done.

We work with ambitious teams across Europe and the US, from AI-native companies like Lovable, Poolside, Fyxer AI, and Tandem Health, to established, high-growth organisations scaling internationally and through acquisition, including Quantexa, Sellpy, Manychat, Gigs, Croud, and Threecolts. These teams don’t buy software for features, they buy leverage. The ability to run faster, cleaner, and with more control as complexity compounds.

To date, we’ve raised $20m in venture funding from some of the most respected founders, operators, and funds in technology: Lachy Groom (Physical Intelligence), Stewart Butterfield (Slack), Tobias Lütke (Shopify), Dylan Field (Figma), Jeff Weiner (LinkedIn), Claire Johnson (Stripe), Oliver Jay (OpenAI), Jay Simmons (Bond) as well as Y Combinator, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, Pathlight Ventures, and Exor.

If you have massive ambition and want to work on a hard problem, with a small team that moves fast, at a moment when the category is genuinely up for grabs - this is it.

The role

Revenue teams used to scale by adding people. Increasingly, they scale by building better systems. We’re looking for a GTM Engineer to own the infrastructure behind how Humaans finds, engages and converts customers, turning our go-to-market strategy into automated systems that can operate at scale.

This is a builder role, not a reporting role. You’ll sit across RevOps, Sales and Marketing and own the connective tissue between them: data pipelines, enrichment, buying signals, lead scoring, routing, AI agents and outbound infrastructure. These systems determine which accounts we pursue, what we know about them and what happens next.

When a process is manual, slow or dependent on an individual rep, you’ll look for a better way to build it. Your impact should scale beyond your own output because the systems you create keep working, learning and improving.

What you’ll do

  • Own the foundations of our GTM data, keeping HubSpot trustworthy through automated enrichment, hygiene routines and clear ownership rules

  • Build enrichment and scoring workflows that turn raw firmographic, behavioural and signal data into ranked, ready-to-action target accounts

  • Design signal-based plays that identify meaningful buying signals and trigger the right action at the right moment

  • Own cold email as a core outbound channel, including sending infrastructure, deliverability, inbox health, personalisation and monitoring

  • Deploy AI agents for research, personalisation, CRM updates and other repetitive GTM workflows, with guardrails that protect quality and our brand

  • Connect GTM tools through APIs, defining sources of truth and designing how data moves reliably between systems

  • Launch new outbound campaigns continuously, run structured experiments and feed what you learn back into the system

  • Treat copy as a testable variable, systematically experimenting with subject lines, opening angles, messaging and CTAs, then incorporating what works into templates and agent prompts

  • Partner closely with SDRs, AEs and leadership to identify bottlenecks and ship solutions in days rather than waiting for lengthy projects

  • Design experiments with clear success metrics, stop investing in what underperforms and scale what works

  • Operate at volume, managing thousands of leads moving through our systems without compromising data quality or targeting

  • Continuously look for places where automation, AI or better infrastructure can give the GTM team more leverage

What we’re looking for

  • A systems mindset paired with strong commercial instincts. You care about elegant workflows, but ultimately judge them by whether they help us create and close more revenue

  • Hands-on experience with a modern GTM stack, including tools such as Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, enrichment providers and sequencing platforms

  • Strong understanding of outbound, including ICP definition, targeting, lead scoring, deliverability and what effective outreach actually requires

  • The ability to write effective outbound copy and improve it through testing, using reply and positive-reply rates rather than vanity metrics to understand what works

  • Enough SQL and Python or JavaScript to solve problems independently, alongside confidence reading API documentation, handling authentication and connecting systems

  • Fluency with AI coding and automation tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, n8n or Zapier, with the ability to build, test and ship workflows end to end

  • An experimental mindset. You define what success looks like, test assumptions, measure results and use feedback loops to make systems better

  • A bias towards building. You learn by tinkering, shipping and seeing what happens rather than waiting until you know everything

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around data quality, automation reliability and the downstream consequences of changes you make

  • A track record of building systems that revenue teams actually use. Your background could be SDR, RevOps, Growth, Product or something else entirely

You may not be a great fit if

  • You’re more interested in reporting on GTM performance than building the systems that change it

  • You prefer administering tools and processes rather than questioning how they work and rebuilding them when there’s a better approach

  • You need requirements to be fully defined before you start building

  • You’re uncomfortable getting hands-on with APIs, data, automation or lightweight code to solve a problem yourself

  • You think outbound success is primarily about increasing activity rather than improving targeting, timing, messaging and relevance

  • You want AI to generate outputs for you, but aren’t interested in designing the systems, prompts, guardrails and feedback loops that make those outputs reliable

  • You prefer large, infrequent projects to continuously shipping, measuring and improving smaller systems

  • You optimise individual tools in isolation rather than thinking about how data and actions flow across the entire GTM system

Our GTM stack

HubSpot is our system of record, with Clay acting as an orchestration layer across data providers, enrichment sources, AI models and our own internal tooling.

You’ll have a broad set of tools to build with, spanning enrichment, outbound, call intelligence, AI coding and automation, as well as the latitude to introduce new ones when they genuinely improve the system.

We care deeply about clean data and reliable infrastructure. Moving quickly shouldn’t mean stacking fragile workarounds. The goal is to build high-quality foundations that let us move faster as we scale.

Many of the best GTM Engineers come from SDR, RevOps, growth, or product backgrounds. If you've been the person quietly wiring Clay into your CRM and automating your own pipeline, this is the role for that instinct.

This is an in-person role. Our team comes together in the office Monday through Thursday, while most of the team collaborates in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Package & Benefits

Early stage startups can be messy – we know that. We're putting effort in providing you with the best employee experience and a quality driven environment in exchange for trusting us.

  • Market-leading compensation that reflects your value

  • 25 days paid time off each year plus public holidays

  • Share Options with 5-year exercise window so you don’t feel pressure to exercise if you leave

  • Quarterly team events, and company offsites

  • Top tier private coverage for health, vision and dental care

  • A new MacBook and tools you need to do your best work

  • Enhanced parental leave with up to 16 weeks for primary and 4 weeks for secondary

  • Learning & development budget

Why Join Humaans Today?

HR tech is having its AI moment and we’re positioned to own it. Humaans started as a next-gen HRIS taking on large incumbents in a massive market. We’ve since evolved into something even bigger: an AI platform that sits across workforce data and automates the operational layer of HR entirely; the natural progression of what we’ve been building toward.

The product is highly differentiated. It’s built around a structured workforce data model that makes AI reliable in an HR context, something no one else has gotten right. Customers notice the difference immediately.

We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lachy Groom, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, and operators who’ve built some of the most consequential software companies of the last decade: the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, and Asana’s former CRO and Head of OpenAI International.

We’re a small team with an unapologetically high bar. It shows up in the product, in how we communicate, and in the standards we hold each other to.

Our Commitment to Diversity

At Humaans we’re looking for genuinely good people that are transparent and emphatic. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities, a diverse and inclusive work environment, and ensuring a fair interview process for everyone. You’re welcome to apply no matter your gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race.

Privacy notice

We care about your privacy. When you apply for a role at Humaans, we’ll collect and process your personal data as part of our recruitment process. This includes things like your CV, contact details, and any other information you choose to share. We may also contact you about future opportunities. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
