About the role

We are looking for a Head of Tech Delivery to join our Tech Department and lead the delivery of all tech projects and programmes that support the company’s strategic objectives.

The role is responsible for managing the Tech delivery budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and benefits, as well as ensuring the quality and consistency of project management practices and standards.

This role will work in close collaboration with the Transformation team. The Transformation team have ownership of all Transformation projects Tech and non Tech across the whole business. This role is responsible for the Tech components within those projects, as well as all projects that are not owned by the Transformation team.

The role covers both waterfall and agile projects, from ERP migrations to mobile app development.

As a Head of Tech Delivery

· Manage the Tech Delivery budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and benefits.

· Ensure the quality and consistency of IT project management practices and standards.

· Provide guidance and support to Tech project managers and teams.

· Report on the performance and progress of the IT portfolio to senior stakeholders and sponsors.

· Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the IT portfolio management processes and tools

Who you will work with

• Reports to the IT Operations Director.
• Line management of all Tech Delivery Managers FTEs and contractors funded by projects.
• Interact regularly with project delivery peers across Tech.
• Close alignment with the Transformation team

About you

Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects and programmes in a fast-paced, large and diverse retailer.

· Professional certifications in both waterfall and agile project management disciplines, PRINCE2, CSM etc.

· Strong knowledge of IT portfolio management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.

· Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

· A passion for delivering value and excellence through Tech solutions.
