We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our client’s well-established inpatient and community mental health team (CMHT) in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. The role is available on a locum or substantive basis and offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical leadership and direct psychiatric care within both inpatient and community settings. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients with a range of mental health conditions. The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, risk management, care planning, and active participation in service development. You will also provide supervision to junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of completion)
• Section 12 approval under the Mental Health Act
• Approved Clinician (AC) status
• Extensive experience in adult mental health, including inpatient and CMHT settings
• Excellent clinical leadership, communication, and teamworking skills
