Technical Sales Specialist - Commercial Vehicle
About the role:
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for understanding technical products and services and translating their features into customer-focused solutions. The role acts as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements while supporting business growth.
Working location: Fully Office-based, Hounslow, London
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
Analyse customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase product features and benefits.
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and guidance to customers.
Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements.
Act as the key technical contact for customers throughout the sales process.
Prepare technical documentation, proposals and product information to support customer requirements.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional technical advice and support.
Stay up to date with product developments and industry trends to provide accurate technical guidance.
Support customer enquiries and contribute to a seamless customer experience from initial enquiry through to post-sales support.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business.
Ideal candidate profile:
Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, engineering support or a customer-facing technical role.
Experience within the commercial vehicle industry, particularly buses and coaches, is highly desirable.
Experience within the automotive, engineering or manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Customer-focused with a proactive approach to delivering technical solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel across the UK when required.
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
