The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and creative specialist capable of inspiring pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This permanent, full-time position begins in September 2026 and is open to both highly experienced practitioners and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to establish their careers in an exceptional teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, resource, and deliver high-quality, engaging Drama lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
Prepare KS4 students for GCSE Drama examinations, utilizing robust formative and summative assessment strategies to drive progress.
Create a positive, highly productive classroom environment in line with the school's outstanding behavioral standards.
Actively contribute to the school's flourishing extracurricular timetable, supporting school productions, theatre trips, and creative clubs.
Act as a supportive Form Tutor, monitoring the academic and pastoral welfare of a designated tutor group.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching recognition.
A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies).
Proven experience teaching Drama up to GCSE level within a UK secondary school.
Excellent communication skills, classroom management, and a collaborative team ethos.
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).
