Junior Patent Secretary - Contract (London/Hybrid)
We are pleased to be working with a well-established and respected IP firm who are seeking an organised Junior Patent Secretary to support a busy team. This role will involve providing full patent secretarial support, assisting fee earners with patent administration and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the patent function. The position is offered on an initial 6-month contract.
The Role:
- Provide comprehensive patent secretarial support to patent attorneys and the wider patent team
- Manage inboxes, telephone calls, diary arrangements, meetings, and correspondence
- Prepare, amend, format, and proofread patent documentation and correspondence
- File patent applications and related documents using internal systems and client platforms
- Maintain accurate patent records, files, and electronic filing systems
- Monitor and update patent deadlines, renewals, and key dates using case management systems
- Assist with billing processes, time recording, and patent client account administration
- Liaise with clients, patent offices, and associates as required
About You:
You will have previous experience working within a Patent support role, with a good understanding of patent procedures, deadlines, and documentation.
