Business Intelligence Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst (Grade 10) to join our Settlement and Insights Reporting team on a permanent basis. This role is central to delivering complex, long-term analysis and reporting for internal teams, government departments and industry stakeholders, helping turn data into clear insights that support informed decision-making.

You’ll play a key role in producing analysis and reporting for DESNZ, the Department for Business and Trade, Open Data and BMRS Change Board activities . Combining strong analytical skills with effective stakeholder engagement, you’ll help improve how data is understood and used while supporting the delivery of high-quality reporting across Settlement Operations.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver complex, long-term analysis and reporting to support Settlement and Insights.

• Produce clear, accurate insights for internal teams and external stakeholders, including government departments and industry change boards.

• Analyse operational and industry data, identifying trends and turning findings into meaningful recommendations.

• Support reporting requirements for DESNZ, the Department for Business and Trade, Open Data and BMRS Change Board activities.

• Work collaboratively across teams to understand reporting needs and deliver high-quality outputs.

• Help improve reporting processes, data quality and the way insight is shared across the organisation.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience in business intelligence, data analysis or a similar analytical role.

• The ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to different audiences.

• Experience producing accurate reports, dashboards and actionable insights.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

• Confidence working with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage competing priorities.

• A collaborative approach and the ability to deliver both operational reporting and longer-term analytical work.

• An interest in using data to support better decisions and continuous improvement.
