Graphic Designer
About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a passion for the automotive industry to join the BYD UK Marketing team.
The ideal candidate will have strong creative and technical design skills, with proven experience developing visual assets for digital, print, retail, and event environments.
Working closely with the Content, Digital, and Social Media teams, you will bring the BYD brand to life through impactful, high-quality visuals that reflect our innovation and leadership in electric mobility. This role requires a balance of creativity, precision, and brand discipline, ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Design Creation:
- Develop high-quality design assets for a variety of channels, including social media, digital advertising, OOH, print, and internal communications.
- Produce visually consistent and brand-aligned content for campaigns, events, and retail activations.
- Create compelling visuals that communicate BYD’s technology, design, and brand story effectively to UK audiences.
Automotive Design Support:
- Work on vehicle-related creative materials, including product launches, dealer communications, and event graphics.
- Adapt and localise global creative assets for the UK market while maintaining strict adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Dealer Marketing team to create bespoke templates and campaign materials for the dealer network.
Brand & Visual Identity:
- Ensure consistency of BYD’s visual identity across all communications.
- Help evolve and apply brand guidelines to digital and print executions.
- Maintain and organise the visual asset library for the UK subsidiary.
Collaboration:
- Partner with the Content Specialist, Social Media Specialist, and Digital Specialist to support ongoing campaigns and creative production.
- Work closely with external agencies and suppliers when needed for larger-scale production or print.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Prepare final artwork files for production and ensure technical accuracy.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering creative input on campaigns and new concepts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Desired but not essential - Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally within the automotive or Tech industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of digital, print, and campaign work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Experience with motion design or video editing is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to interpret complex briefs into clear, visually engaging designs.
- Familiarity with digital content formats and paid media design requirements.
- Experience working within brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across markets.
