Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of students
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to students, fostering their intellectual and personal development
  • Plan and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' understanding and enjoyment of Science
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Science or a related field
  • Prior experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting is highly desirable
  • Passion for Science education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives
  • Excellent knowledge of the Science curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and create a positive learning environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest educational trends
