About the Role
Mobile Vehicle Technician – Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) Division
Join a fast‑growing mobile repair team that brings planned servicing and repairs directly to members’ driveways or workplace car parks. No emergency call‑outs, no unpredictable shift patterns – you’ll work from a clear, pre‑booked schedule with the tools and support you need to deliver high‑quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle safety checks in line with organisational standards.
- Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment and interpret results to identify issues.
- Carry out in‑depth repairs that would normally be completed in a workshop, ensuring lasting solutions.
- Provide members with clear advice, recommendations and follow‑up actions based on your inspections.
- Manage parts ordering and documentation through the organisation’s mobile service platform.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, independence and the ability to communicate clearly with customers.
Working Conditions & Schedule
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
- Core hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with one Saturday shift every four weeks.
- Guaranteed overtime option after the first month (optional, £30 per hour).
- Provided equipment: fully equipped service van, fuel card, uniform, complete tool set and advanced diagnostics.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earnings that motivate: competitive base salary of £45,378 (including London weighting where applicable) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
- Opt‑in guaranteed overtime: add extra rest‑day work at £30 / hour – one extra day per month can add roughly £3,000 annually.
