Software Developer - Regulatory Technology

The successful candidate will join a growing Regulatory Reporting function at QRT, which sits within our Compliance team. You will work alongside the business, compliance, and IT teams. The Regulatory Technology Developer will assist the team in maintaining the integrity of the regulatory reporting processes for the firm and ensure that complete and accurate data is delivered to regulators within the prescribed timeframes.

Responsibilities:

  • Your core objective is to manage and develop regulatory reporting systems and controls
  • Develop and integrate automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
  • Continuously assess regulatory reporting risks and developments to ensure changes are made in line with regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance the technological capabilities of the compliance function
  • Ensure the continuous operation and optimization of existing regulatory reporting systems
  • Develop and maintain data validation and quality assurance processes
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical support related to regulatory technology
  • Engage with stakeholders to address queries and ensure compliance

Your present skillset:

  • Polyglot developer with at least 8 years of experience, knowledge of Python is essential
  • Understanding of SQL and working with databases
  • Experienced in designing frameworks and tools from scratch
  • Knowledge of the financial derivative products
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills, able to tackle complex technical challenges
  • Understanding of modern software architecture and cloud platforms
  • Intellectual curiosity to learn new technologies
  • Ability to think outside the box and improve technical implementation
