Role Summary and Impact

Choreograph is looking for a mid/senior individual to lead, build and optimise the PMO’s ability to deliver technology projects in the UK. The primary function of the role will be to build a robust and scalable PMO capability across EMEA which incorporates best practice principles across systems, processes and people.

Key objectives

• Be accountable for the profitable on-time delivery of the UK portfolio of technical projects
• Effectively manage the capacity and utilisation of the UK delivery teams and inform resourcing decisions
• Build a scalable and robust PMO practice across people, processes and systems in the delivery of technical projects
• Define, document and implement best practice project and programme management processes

Client facing:

• Ensure projects/programmes are properly scoped, resourced and delivered upon
• Ensure client expectations are managed and met across all programmes
• Escalate any resourcing constraints to the relevant internal stakeholders
• Oversee the Delivery Management of multiple projects from initiation to completion

Internal:

• Develop the required governance within the PMO to ensure best practice and proactively improve the programme and project management tools and processes used by the team
• Support the development of career and succession plans for the PMO team members
• Ensure timesheets are complete and accurate to ensure we have as real-time insight into current delivery and expectation management of the current month revenue performance.
• Ensure the full portfolio of technical project plans are correctly phased and planned to ensure sufficient insight into forward looking capacity and resource requirements. These plans also inform our revenue forecasts
• Engage with the PMO in other maron global engagements to support each other solving short term resourcing issues
• Support the biz dev and client teams with PMO input when completing biz dev activities by assisting with scope definition, project plans, costing, and providing insight into resources and availability.
• For large joint delivery across agencies, be the interface between us and the other teams

Skills and experience required

• Responsible for project and programme delivery within a technical or professional services environment (Our projects are technical and frequently involve technology vendors)
• Experience within a PMO environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong commercial understanding
• Excellent, concise written and verbal communication skills
• Obsession with detail and planning
• Hold a tertiary qualification
• Hold a recognised project/programme management certification or have completed formal training in project/programme management
