Senior Live Ops Designer

At Spectarium, we are dedicated to creating immersive gaming experiences that engage players long after the initial release. We are looking for a Senior Live Ops Designer to join our talented team and play a critical role in shaping the live components of our games. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing live events, content updates, player engagement strategies, and everything that contributes to the ongoing success of our games.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of game design principles, analytics, and live operations, with a passion for creating dynamic in-game experiences that enhance player retention and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute live events and seasonal content, ensuring they align with the overall game vision and player expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, art, engineering, marketing) to develop cohesive live ops strategies.
  • Analyze player data and feedback to inform decisions on content updates, event timing, and engagement strategies.
  • Develop systems and techniques for measuring the success of live operations initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of new features, events, and content while ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Communicate updates and changes effectively to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Monitor player engagement and retention metrics, providing recommendations for improvements and adjustments as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our live ops are innovative and competitive.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game design or live operations, with a focus on player engagement and retention strategies.
  • Strong understanding of game monetization models and player behavior analytics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to make data-driven design decisions.
  • Experience with live events, content updates, and player engagement initiatives in live games.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • A passion for gaming and a keen understanding of what drives player engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
