Job Title: Complex Needs Assistant
Position Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP The Role: As a Complex Needs Assistant, you will be working in a specialist setting within Lewisham, supporting students with a variety of complex needs including autism, physical disabilities, and medical conditions. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality support tailored to each child's individual education plan. Prior experience in a SEN environment is desirable but not essential - full education and training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers and therapists to support students in their educational journey
Assist with personal care tasks where required
Promote independence and self-confidence through tailored support
Help implement behaviour management strategies
Support learning activities both in and out of the classroomRequirements: A genuine passion for working with children with special needs
Ability to remain patient, calm, and supportive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to undergo necessary education and training
