Fitness Coach/ Massage Therapist for Orient Express Sailing Yachts (Hiring Immediately)

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Fitness Coach on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts.
The Fitness Coach is responsible for the delivery of personalized fitness, movement, and
wellness experiences. The role combines the expertise of a Personal Trainer with the versatility expected within a luxury Spa environment.
You remain an active fitness professional while supporting Spa operations, reception, guest engagement, and, where appropriately qualified, massage treatments. This position requires a genuine interest in Spa & Wellness as a whole, not fitness alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a warm, authentic, and personalized connection with every guest, embodying Guerlain’s Art of Wellness and Orient Express service standards.
• Deliver bespoke personal training sessions adapted to each guest’s objectives, physical condition, preferences, and level of experience.
• Conduct a varied range of sessions including strength training, cardio, HIIT, functional training, mobility, stretching, recovery, and core conditioning.
• Deliver group classes such as Yoga, Pilates, stretching, circuit training, and other wellness activities according to qualifications and onboard programming.
• Act as the Spa’s operational reference for Fitness areas, ensuring safe use of equipment, correct exercise technique, and consistently high standards of presentation.
• Provide clear demonstrations and guidance on gym and fitness equipment, adapting exercises when required and maintaining a strong focus on guest safety.
• Maintain Fitness areas in impeccable condition: clean, organized, fully stocked, guest-ready, and aligned with luxury Spa standards.
• Regularly inspect equipment and immediately report any malfunction, damage, maintenance requirement, or safety concern to the Spa Manager.
• Contribute ideas for new fitness, recovery, movement, and wellness experiences that enhance guest participation and satisfaction.
• Participate actively in onboard training, Spa briefings, cross-training, and continuous development of the Wellness offering.
• Support the Spa Manager and Spa team in daily operations, including guest flow, opening and closing standards, bookings, activities, and operational requirements.
• Assist at Spa reception when required by welcoming guests, providing information, supporting appointments, and confidently presenting the Spa & Wellness offering.
• Develop strong knowledge of the Guerlain Spa menu and guest journey in order to cross-recommend relevant treatments and wellness experiences. Where appropriately qualified and trained, perform massage and/or body treatments according to approved Spa protocols.
• Contribute to Spa & Wellness revenue through personal training, private sessions, appropriate cross-selling, guest loyalty, and achievement of individual and collective KPIs.
• Embody and consistently uphold Guerlain’s standards of grooming, presentation, posture, and professional conduct.
• Maintain a discreet, elegant, and attentive presence at all times, in line with the Maison’s luxury service standards.
• Provide highly personalized fitness and wellness recommendations, adapting each interaction to the guest’s individual needs, preferences, and objectives.
• Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of Guerlain’s wellness philosophy and ensure it is reflected throughout the guest experience.
• Act as an ambassador of the Maison by naturally promoting Guerlain’s values, heritage, and approach to beauty and well-being.
• Ensure that the fitness and wellness experience remains fully aligned with Guerlain and Orient Express standards, creating a seamless and consistent luxury guest journey.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• Languages: Fluent English.
• Education: High school degree or related. Personal Trainer certification required / BPJEPS(France) / Licence STAPS (France) or International equivalent mandatory.
• Previous professional experience: 3 years as Yoga Instructor or Sports Instructor in a luxury environment
• Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred
