Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager or Project Manager to join a specialist sub-contractor involved in a major refurbishment of a prominent commercial building in Central London. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in interior fit-out, particularly internal partitioning, glazing or joinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take full ownership of on-site operations, ensuring all work is delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.

* Oversee and coordinate a team of skilled tradespeople including glaziers, joiners and fitters.

* Manage day to day logistics including material deliveries, hired plant and equipment, and booking of delivery slots through a Tier 1 contractor's site system.

* Enforce and maintain high standards of health and safety, including delivering daily briefings and weekly Toolbox Talks.

* Lead on-site induction processes and ensure RAMS are effectively communicated to all new operatives.

* Attend site coordination meetings, safety briefings, and progress inspections with the main contractor and other sub-contractors.

* Work closely with engineers to confirm setting out details, datums and ensure readiness prior to commencing any works.

* Carry out QA checks, complete associated documentation, and maintain a high standard of finish throughout.

* Support in final inspections, snagging, and handover procedures.

* Produce internal weekly progress reports and contribute to programme reviews.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a Site or Project Management role within the fit-out or specialist subcontracting sector.

* Background in internal glazing, partitioning or joinery preferred, though not essential, full technical support will be provided.

* SMSTS

* First Aid

* Additional qualifications such as PASMA, Banksman, Traffic Marshall, or Asbestos Awareness would be advantageous.

* Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

* Reliable, highly organised, and proactive in managing site activities and safety compliance.
