Nanny

A warm, engaging and active family in Barnes are seeking an experienced sole charge daily nanny to care for their two young sons, aged 4 months and 2 years. This is a long-term, Monday to Friday role, 8am to 6pm (50 hours per week), offering £65,000 to £72,000 gross per annum (DOE). Start date ASAP, with flexibility up to the end of August for the right person.

The parents are calm and organised and place a strong emphasis on family life. They enjoy health and wellness, sport, outdoor activities, good food and travel for both work and pleasure.

The household is calm and well-structured, and they are looking for a nanny who can work in partnership with them to maintain and build on established routines which they have created. The ideal candidate will bring consistency and contribute positively to the children’s development over time. The parents value open, direct communication and encourage a collaborative approach, welcoming your ideas and input while ensuring you feel supported and valued.

The nanny will confidently manage the routines of both children, supporting feeding, sleep and development. Duties include planning age-appropriate activities, encouraging learning through play and outdoor time, supporting sibling relationships, preparing children’s meals, managing play areas and children’s laundry, and handling nursery drop-offs and pick-ups.

The family live in a beautiful five-bedroom, fully renovated home in Barnes, close to parks and the River Thames, and under five minutes from Barnes Bridge station (direct trains to Waterloo in under 20 minutes). Barnes offers a village feel, with excellent cafes, shops and green spaces, and is a safe, family-friendly area. Parking is available if required, and a part-time cleaner attends twice weekly.

The package includes 28 days’ annual leave, the nanny’s birthday as an additional day off, and a £170 annual CPD budget.

Applicants must have strong experience caring for a baby and toddler simultaneously, including a baby under 6 months, along with Paediatric First Aid, an Enhanced DBS and excellent long-term references. We are looking for a calm, reliable and professional nanny who is proactive, gentle under pressure and genuinely enjoys working with children. Reliability and punctuality are essential. A driving nanny is preferred.

This is a sole charge long-term opportunity for a calm experienced nanny who has strong infant care knowledge, excellent emotional intelligence with toddlers and who can work with and where necessary build on existing structure and routines to provide steady, emotionally attuned care.
