Salary: £31,000 per annum pro rata (£24,800 actual) / 28 hours per week

This is an opportunity to be at the centre of change for ethnic minority communities in Richmond borough and to reduce racial inequalities in mental health services.
Multicultural Richmond is recruiting a part-time Community Mental Health Officer to support the delivery of an established community mental health and psychosocial wellbeing programme across Richmond upon Thames.
You will deliver culturally sensitive, trauma-informed psychosocial support through one-to-one sessions, group wellbeing activities, workshops, awareness events and community-based support.
The role will also involve building strong relationships with local organisations, NHS services, voluntary sector partners and community groups to ensure people can access the right support at the right time.
They are looking for someone with strong communication skills, empathy, cultural awareness and experience in mental health support, community engagement or a related field.
You should be confident working independently and collaboratively, able to build trust with participants, and committed to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces.

The hours of the post are 28 hours per week and it is offered on a one-year fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
It is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
