Nursery: Rainbow Day Nursery, St Benet’s Church Hall, Lupton Street, London, NW5 2HY

Salary: £33,072 - £34,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

At Rainbow Day Nursery , we’re looking for a dedicated and inspiring Room Leader / Third In Charge to help lead our vibrant, nurturing setting based in our 2-5 years room where children thrive and staff feel truly valued. Rainbow Nursery is situated on Lupton Street in the Kentish Town area, which lies to the north of central London. There are fantastic commuter links to central London and nearby neighbourhoods with several bus routes local and Kentish Town station and Gospel Oak station.

As a Third in Charge,

\n\n

\n\t
• You will help lead the staff to deliver and ensure all children receive quality care, help extend the child’s learning.
\n\t
• Create, plan, and implement activities and experience which help support all aspects of the EYFS.
\n\t
• You will be responsible for opening and closing the nursery and will be required to cover for the Manager and Deputy Manager in their absence.
\n\t
• Create and execute educational programmes suited to different ages, supporting early childhood growth.
\n\t
• Oversee and mentor nursery staff, offering guidance and training when needed.
\n\t
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
\n\t
• Planning and preparing activities to develop all aspects of the child's individual development in a stimulating atmosphere, within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
\n\t
• Plan activities that inspire creativity, encourage social interaction, and promote physical development.
\n\t
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are met, alongside safeguarding policies.

Third in Charge requirement and skills:

\n\n

\n\t
• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
\n\t
• Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential
\n\t
• Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable
\n\t
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
\n\t
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
\n\t
• Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
