Job Profile - Workface Planning Construction Support 3CR Project
HSE
- Promote safe execution of works through effective planning, sequencing, and hazard awareness.
- Ensure work packages are developed with safety embedded, including required permits, isolations, and risk controls.
- Support our client's Zero Incident culture by ensuring work is planned to avoid SIMOPS conflicts and unsafe site conditions.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, STA reviews, and safety planning discussions as required.
- Site presence throughout the day including morning safe start up (on site until 9am), participate in STA reviews, DABS, weekly safety audits etc (this role should be approx. 70% on site 30% in office).
- Verify that workfaces are ready and safe prior to release for execution.
- Participation and comply with site HSE programme.
- Implement "Stop Work Authority" on any unsafe activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the project Workface Planning (WFP) process to support efficient construction delivery.
- Break down construction scope into executable work packages, ensuring alignment with schedule, priorities, and site readiness.
- Develop and maintain Installation Work Packages (IWPs) including required drawings, specifications, material status, labour needs, and constraints.
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Quality, PTW, and Materials teams to ensure work packages are complete and ready for field execution.
- Support weekly and daily work planning by ensuring workfaces are properly sequenced and achievable.
- Track constraints and remove blockers to execution, including materials, access, permits, design deliverables, and subcontractor readiness.
- Provide visibility of upcoming workfronts and support the development of 2-week and 4-week lookahead plans.
- Monitor field progress against plan and adjust work packaging priorities as required to support project objectives.
- Support contractor coordination to ensure work is executed efficiently and in line with our client's standards.
- Maintain accurate planning documentation and reporting, providing updates to Construction Management and Project Controls.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Construction Director to support safe and efficient project execution.
