Senior Product Analyst
- Pioneer Insight Generation & Strategic Influence: Lead the end-to-end analytical lifecycle for key product initiatives, transforming complex, multi-source datasets into actionable, high-impact insights that directly shape product roadmap decisions, user experience enhancements, and feature prioritisation for our core offerings.
- Elevate Product Analytics Capabilities: Act as the principal expert in defining, implementing, and evangelising best practices, processes, and cutting-edge tools for product analytics. You will continuously push the boundaries of how we leverage platforms like Amplitude to understand user behaviour and product performance, driving internal adoption and proficiency.
- Drive Data Integrity & Metric Definitions: Take direct ownership for the integrity and reliability of product-related data, proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving complex data anomalies. Partner with Analytics Engineers to define and evolve the metrics and dimensions in the semantic layer (e.g. LookML) for product data, ensuring robust, scalable, and self-service analytics capabilities for the entire product organisation.
- Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to Senior Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Go-to-Market teams, translating intricate business questions into analytical frameworks. You will proactively identify key performance indicators (KPIs), establish ambitious targets, and deliver compelling narratives that drive alignment and action across the business.
- Develop High-Impact Analytical Products: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated, intuitive dashboards and interactive reports within our BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Hex), transforming raw data into accessible, actionable insights that empower stakeholders to monitor performance, identify trends, and make rapid, informed decisions at scale.
- Contribute to Analytical Excellence: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our analytical infrastructure, improve data processes, and strengthen documentation. You will contribute significantly to establishing a culture of rigorous, data-driven decision-making across the product and engineering functions.
- Establish Foundational Experimentation Capabilities: Lead the discovery and initial implementation of our product experimentation framework. You'll leverage techniques like Bayesian interpretation to extract actionable insights despite sample size challenges, building the bedrock for rigorous, scalable product iteration.
- Proven Product Analytics Expertise: Extensive experience in a dedicated product analytics role within a fast-paced, data-rich B2B SaaS or fintech environment, demonstrating a clear progression in analytical complexity and strategic influence. Experience using analytical packages and libraries in Python is a significant plus, especially for deeper analysis and simple modelling (e.g. logistic regression, XGBoost).
- Mastery of Product Analytics Platforms: Exceptional proficiency in modern product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel), with a proven ability to design sophisticated event taxonomies, conduct deep behavioural analysis, and extract non-obvious insights from user datasets.
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Expert-level command of SQL for complex data manipulation, analysis, and optimisation. Demonstrated experience in designing and building robust, scalable data models, with significant hands-on experience using dbt (data build tool) for transformations.
- Exceptional Data Storytelling & Influence: Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both highly technical and executive non-technical audiences. You can confidently present insights and influence strategic decision-making.
- Expert in Data Visualisation & BI Tools: Advanced proficiency in modern business intelligence tools, with experience of designing intuitive, high-impact dashboards and reports that empower self-service analytics.
- Strategic Problem Solver: A proactive, innovative, and strategic mindset, driven to independently resolve ambiguous, high-impact data and product challenges, and continuously improve data processes, documentation, and analytical methodologies across the organisation.
- Strong Data Warehousing Foundations: Solid architectural understanding of data warehousing concepts and practical experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) for scalable data analysis.
