JOB BAND: D
CONTRACT TYPE: 6 month Fixed-term Contract, Full-time
DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Product group
LOCATION: London – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £65,000 - £70,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience, plus London Weighting Allowance of £5,441. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. WE ARE BBC STUDIOS A globally renowned media company borne of the BBC. We make and distribute the world’s most sought-after TV, audio and digital content. Our ambition is to be the home of the most powerful, entertaining, and inspiring stories for people all around the world. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE This is a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract. As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of complex, large-scale digital products and services—particularly streaming and video-on-demand platforms—used by millions worldwide. You will enable cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, design, product, and business stakeholders) to deliver high-quality outcomes, removing blockers, managing risks, and maintaining momentum. This is a challenging, hands-on delivery role that requires excellent stakeholder management and a passion for delivering great work for customers. You’ll work with a wide range of internal and external teams - including legal, finance, compliance, commercial, design, and software development - helping to shape delivery practices that support our growth and ambition. WHY JOIN THE TEAM The Studios Product Group crafts and delivers exceptional customer-focused products that drive growth and operational excellence. Our portfolio spans both consumer-facing experiences (such as BBC.com, Top Gear, and Bluey) and internal tools that empower our global teams.
You will join a dynamic team that values adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, united by a commitment to delivering outstanding products to global audiences. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Project Delivery : Own the end-to-end delivery process, from discovery and planning through build, QA, and release. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification, through clear scope definition, deliverables, and alignment with commercial and contractual requirements.
- Agile Leadership: Champion agile ways of working, optimising delivery flow across multiple teams, and coaching others in agile techniques.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners. Ensure communication is clear, expectations are aligned, and outcomes are well understood.
- Team Enablement : Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that supports high performance, healthy dynamics, and continuous improvement.
- Governance & Reporting: Track and communicate progress, outcomes, and performance. Ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are effectively managed.
- Financial Management : Support financial planning and control by contributing to annual budgets, monthly reporting, and forecasting. Review supplier invoices, monitor project budgets, and ensure financial processes are accurate and transparent.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Lead procurement processes and manage external suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage innovation, retrospectives, and feedback loops to evolve delivery practices and strengthen operational excellence.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:- Proven experience delivering large-scale digital products, ideally within OTT/TV, syndication, or VOD platforms.
- Deep understanding of agile delivery methods, with the ability to coach, influence, and lead teams.
- Strong knowledge of the Product Operating Model is advantageous, but all digital/software project management backgrounds are valued.
- Solid understanding of digital technologies and workflows, able to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Track record of writing and managing delivery documentation (SoWs, change requests, user stories, specs, plans).
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, and reviewing supplier invoices.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills, with an appetite for workshops and client-facing sessions.
- Experience with Content/Video Management Systems and broadcast media environments.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Certified Scrum Master
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Miro, Figma, and Slack.
If you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.
NEXT STEPS We appreciate your interest in this position and understand how important this opportunity is to you. Due to the high volume of interest we may need to close the application period earlier than anticipated.
