OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE

We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact.

As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honour the soul of every place along our journey.

At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

Reporting to the Director of Talent and Culture, you will help lead the Talent & Culture function and provide direction, support and development to the team. You will work closely with leaders and associates across the hotel to foster an inclusive, engaging and high-performing workplace.

YOUR ROLE

As Assistant Director of Talent and Culture, you will help shape and deliver people strategies aligned with the hotel’s vision and future aspirations. You will oversee the effective operation of the Talent and Culture function, provide trusted and confidential guidance to leaders and associates, and ensure our people practices meet company standards and legal requirements.

A key focus of your role will be strengthening leadership capability across the hotel. Through practical training, coaching and ongoing development, you will equip leaders with the confidence and skills to manage, engage and develop their teams effectively.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Talent & Culture team, setting clear direction and creating opportunities for growth.
  • Build leadership capability across the hotel by designing and delivering relevant training, coaching and development initiatives.
  • Provide trusted guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, discipline, grievance, parental leave, equal opportunities and employment law.
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion, associate engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and succession planning, helping ensure the right people are in the right roles to meet current and future business needs.
  • Oversee key people processes, including onboarding, probation reviews, appraisals, associate development, immigration compliance and departmental records.
  • Support departmental budgeting, payroll forecasting and workforce planning while maintaining commercial awareness.
  • Model the company’s purpose, culture and values, fostering an environment where associates feel supported, valued and able to perform at their best.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You are an experienced Talent and Culture leader with a strong understanding of people practices, employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • You are passionate about developing leadership capability and have experience delivering engaging training, coaching or management development.
  • You lead by example, creating a clear sense of purpose while motivating and empowering others.
  • You combine strategic thinking with sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make considered decisions.
  • You communicate with clarity and credibility and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level.
  • You handle sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion and empathy.
  • You are comfortable working with HR information systems and using data to inform decisions.

OUR BENEFITS

As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honour the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them, and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy helps put these principles into practice.
