Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Desktop Support Specialist to join the Sales and Trading WSS team based in London . This is a high-impact, front-office support role requiring strong technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting critical systems within an investment banking or financial services organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Level 3 escalations and conduct detailed root cause analysis .
- Use ServiceNow effectively to manage and resolve support tickets.
- Deliver exceptional customer support with a strong focus on end-user satisfaction.
- Collaborate across IT service lines and with third parties to deliver integrated desktop support.
- Participate in incident and change management processes, ensuring SLA/OLA compliance.
- Share knowledge with peers to support team objectives and foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain productivity and service quality under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs for continuous team growth.
- Take full ownership of assigned tasks and manage personal workload effectively.
- Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs while improving service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT support experience , including 3-5 years in desktop support for mission-critical business systems.
- 2+ years in a front-office environment (preferably banking or financial services).
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows , networking , security , LAN/WAN , and related technologies.
- Knowledge of market data platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and Excel add-in troubleshooting .
- Hands-on experience with incident management systems , preferably ServiceNow .
- Proven ability to manage support packages and coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams .
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication , negotiation , and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to rapidly changing priorities.
- Broad understanding of financial markets and trading environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- MCSE certification
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Exposure to project management methodologies
