Premises Officer | Camden | January 2026
Are you a practical and organised Premises Officer wanting to join a busy school team from January 2026? A central primary school in Camden is recruiting a Premises Officer to support daily site operations, safety checks and facilities upkeep.
The Premises Officer will undertake routine maintenance, complete statutory checks, manage contractor visits and support the Site Manager with planning and record-keeping. This Premises Officer role in Camden requires a reliable individual who can work independently, follow H&S processes and contribute to a safe learning environment. The role has a January 2026 start date and includes induction and handover activities before January 2026 to ensure continuity.

Main duties
- Carry out daily site inspections, open/close routines and monitor security systems in Camden.
- Perform minor repairs, maintain external grounds and assist with planned maintenance tasks.
- Complete and log H&S checks, support risk assessments and maintain statutory records.
- Assist with lettings and events, ensuring the site meets safety standards for external users.
- Liaise with contractors, maintain supply records and support the Site Manager with premises projects.
Person specification
- Experience in premises or facilities roles with practical maintenance skills and H&S awareness.
- Well organised, able to keep clear records and to follow compliance procedures in Camden.
- Proactive, flexible and able to start January 2026 after a planned induction period.
- Comfortable liaising with colleagues, suppliers and school leaders to maintain high site standards.
