Conrad Consulting are working with a leading fit out/ refurbishment contractor who are looking to bring on two site managers due to a number of project wins in Glasgow. This is a great opportunity to join one of the fastest growing contractors in Scotland, who really focus on investing on their team and giving them progressions opportunities from day one.

The Role of the Site Manager:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of refurbishment and fit-out projects, from mobilisation through to completion and handover.

You will work closely with the Project Manager/ Directors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

• Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites.
\n
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities.
\n
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and budget requirements.
\n
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across site.
\n
• Monitor progress and report to the Project Manager.
\n
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.
\n
• Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries.
\n
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure defects are addressed.
\n
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
\n
• Lead site meetings and maintain accurate site records.
\n
• Support the successful completion and handover of projects.
\n

Requirements of the Site Manager:

\n
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, fit-out, or commercial construction.
\n
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site management.
\n
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
\n
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
\n
• The ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
\n
• Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS.
\n
• A valid CSCS card appropriate to the role.
\n
