Maternity Nurse

An experienced Daily Maternity Nanny is required in St John's Wood, London, to care for a 6-month-old baby, with a particular focus on early development, stimulating activities and establishing positive daily routines.

Job Summary
A lovely family in St John's Wood are seeking a warm, knowledgeable and proactive Daily Maternity Nanny to support their 6-month-old baby. The family are particularly keen to find someone with excellent infant knowledge who can provide individual attention, encourage developmental milestones and introduce engaging, age-appropriate activities.
The ideal candidate will be creative and confident in planning a stimulating yet flexible daily routine, incorporating developmental play, feeding, naps and opportunities to explore and learn. Experience with weaning would be an advantage, as the family would welcome guidance when the baby is ready to begin introducing solids.
This is a six-month booking, working Monday to Friday for eight hours per day. The family are looking for someone patient, supportive and confident who will work closely with Mum. No travel is required, and Christmas will be taken as holiday.

Job Specification
• Provide attentive daily care for the baby.
• Encourage developmental milestones through play and interaction.
• Plan stimulating, age-appropriate activities.
• Establish a positive, flexible daily routine.
• Support feeding and the introduction of solids when appropriate.
• Manage naps, settling and daily baby care.
• Maintain the baby's clothing, equipment and belongings.
• Work collaboratively with Mum.

Candidate Specification
• Strong experience caring for babies of a similar age.
• Excellent knowledge of infant development and milestones.
• Relevant childcare or infant development qualifications welcomed.
• Creative and proactive in planning developmental activities.
• Good understanding of infant feeding and weaning.
• Warm, patient, nurturing and encouraging.
• Organised, reliable and adaptable.
• Confident communicating and working closely with parents
