Top 50 UK City Firm
You’ll work on some of the most high-profile commercial disputes in the market, from LCIA arbitrations subject to NY law to billion-dollar US class actions and nine-month Commercial Court trials. This is a rare opportunity to specialise in a top-ranked insurance policyholder team within a full-service disputes group that covers fraud, financial services, group actions, regulatory investigations, and more.
You’ll join a close-knit team known for sharp thinking, direct client contact, and genuine career development. The department champions those who take ownership, build relationships, and want to shape their litigation career in a firm that rewards both performance and potential.
Whether you already specialise in coverage work or are a strong commercial litigator ready to pivot, this is a chance to be part of something high-impact, high-quality, and highly supportive.
What you’ll do
- Act for major policyholders on coverage disputes across political violence, product liability, and cross-border risks
- Handle complex litigation and arbitration (UK and international) across a range of industries
- Lead and manage your own matters under supervision, and collaborate on large, multi-jurisdictional disputes
- Support wider litigation areas including fraud, banking, professional negligence, and regulatory defence
- Mentor trainees and contribute to a cohesive, high-performing team
- Engage in BD, thought leadership, and client development initiatives
- 3–7 years’ PQE in commercial litigation or insurance disputes
- Experience with insurance coverage work (policyholder-side preferred, but insurer-side considered)
- Strong drafting and analytical skills, with attention to detail and strategic thinking
- Ability to handle fast-paced, document-heavy cases with confidence and composure
- Commitment to client care and interest in growing relationships
- Team-focused mindset with leadership potential
This team advises on some of the most sensitive and valuable litigation in the UK market. With deep sector expertise and an outstanding reputation in coverage disputes, you’ll work alongside experienced, commercially minded litigators who value trust, development, and excellence. From day one, you'll have a voice in the room, real files to run, and support to progress.
