About Data & Technology Solutions
WPP’s Data & Technology Solutions is WPP’s unified global data products and technology team. We work with our agencies and clients to build data-driven solutions and technology product to power marketing transformation.
WPP Open is our AI platform for marketing, it connects marketing professionals, data, tools and AI in a single place. WPP Open is the simplest, safest and fastest way to realise the benefits of scaled AI – delivering better-informed creative ideas faster, at scale and at lower cost.
Why we are hiring:
We seek an experienced product leader to own how agents get built, published, discovered and trusted across WPP Open.
This role brings together two capabilities, Agent Builder, the environment in which anyone at WPP creates an agent — its instructions, model, tools, data and permissions — and the Agent Catalog & Hub, where those agents are published, found, governed and put to work. The ideal candidate will have built or scaled a creation platform together with the marketplace or catalog that distributes what it produces, and will understand that a builder without curation produces sprawl, while a catalog without a builder has nothing to curate.
WPP Open serves high numbers of users across our agencies, and the agent estate is already large. At our scale the challenges are not the building experience alone and you will treat governance as a product essential.
This role will own the shift from an agent catalog to a skills marketplace. This requires a product leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and who can keep an established platform healthy while moving it somewhere new.
What You Will Do:
Within this IC role, reporting into the Senior Director Product Enablement WPP Open – you will:
- Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Agent Builder and the Agent Catalog & Hub as a single connected product area, ensuring alignment with the broader Open strategy and business objectives.
- Partner with Product Leadership to shape a product roadmap, emphasising value realisation through lean and iterative methodologies.
- Define the creation experience: how a non-technical user assembles a capable agent, and how a more technical user goes further.
- Own discovery, trust and reuse in the Catalog & Hub — search, taxonomy, metadata, ownership, versioning, ratings and lifecycle — so that the right agent is found rather than rebuilt.
- Build governance into the product. Classification, review, approval, publication controls and audit should be native capabilities of building and publishing, delivered as an active member of the Agent Governance team.
- Define and deliver the evolution from agent catalog to skills marketplace.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design and UX to deliver a connected build, publish and adopt journey. You will set clear objectives with teams and ensure alignment of plans and workstreams to achieve them.
- Balance commitments and governance features against new capabilities.
- Provide day-to-day vision, direction and motivation to the cross-functional product team, including product management, data analysts, engineers and product enablement.
- Use data to drive product strategies and plans — catalog health, duplication, adoption, abandonment and build patterns — gathering quantitative and qualitative feedback from stakeholders to enhance product adoption and usage continually.
- Act as the voice of the customer by balancing platform priorities with the needs of agencies, operations teams and clients. Keep stakeholders up to date with strategic direction and the product roadmap and communicate new product releases to ensure successful advocacy and adoption.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related roles, including time owning a platform product at enterprise scale.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise SaaS platform products.
- Experience working with platforms such as Salesforce Agentforce, ServiceNow AI Agent Studio and an understanding of how these are adopted, extended and governed inside large enterprises.
- Understanding of modern agent architectures: LLMs, RAG patterns, tool and function calling, MCP or equivalent tool connectivity, prompt design and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience with discovery and distribution at scale — search, taxonomy and metadata design, curation, ratings and reviews, versioning, deprecation and lifecycle management.
- Experience treating governance, compliance or quality as product capabilities.
- Proficiency in leading and implementing agile development frameworks for delivering technical products, coupled with experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
- Experience delivering products that integrate with third-party enterprise systems. Understanding of APIs, system integrations and data interoperability.
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring Product Managers and Product Owners, and elevating processes, tools and ways of working across a team.
