Learning Support Assistant - Full Time - November Start - Temp to Perm - Chiswick

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced special needs school based in Chiswick. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
The school follows a holistic and child-centred curriculum designed to meet the needs of young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). This approach focuses not only on academic development but also on social, emotional, and life skills, helping students to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
As a Learning Support Assistant, the successful candidate will work closely with teachers and therapists to support students' learning and personal growth. This will include helping to adapt lessons to individual needs, encouraging participation in classroom and enrichment activities, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintain safeguarding/health and safety policies of the school
- Ensure a personalised approach to teaching support
- Assist with planning day to day activities
- Classroom management
- Understand how ASD create barriers to learning and how to overcome them
- Use positive behaviour techniques
