UK Medical Affairs Manager

This role is an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence of UK Medical Affairs team. You will lead key initiatives, drive collaboration across teams, and ensure alignment with business priorities. We value candidates who are proactive, organized, and passionate about delivering impactful medical strategies. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role you will

• Develop and implement the UK Medical Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Lead operational planning and execution for medical activities, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Manage a team of medical advisors
• Collaborate with the medical field-based team and other cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Market Access, Compliance) to ensure seamless integration of medical strategies.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness in medical operations.
• Support the development and delivery of medical education programs and scientific materials.
• Lead on data generation for the UK aligned to strategy
• Copy approval and ABPI certification

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences.
• Proven experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, with experience managing teams
• Strong understanding of clinical trials, medical governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and functions.
• Proficiency in English and digital tools, tech savvy

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD) in a relevant field HIV, Infectious diseases, virology
• Experience in strategic planning and operational leadership.
• Knowledge of UK healthcare systems and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with digital innovation in medical operations.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to convey complex scientific information clearly.
• ABPI signatory
