Roadside Technician

Pay / salary: Base: £41,600 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: In Excess of £66,000, opportunity to earn 70-80k+

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role
40 hours per week between 6am and 12am, Monday to Sunday. Shifts are known 12 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and/or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home as soon as you start the van.
Benefits for the Roadside Technician role Overtime – 300 overtime hours per year equates to an extra £12,000 per annum.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility.
Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
What you’ll need to be considered for the Roadside Technician role Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally a Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or a mobile vehicle role.
A customer-focused approach.
Must have a full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
