Why this role matters

This job is critical in supporting the Consumer division to ensure that contact centre operations are effectively and efficiently identifying the correct engineer to resolve customer issues 1st time, contributing to our aim of Number 1 for Service.

You will have ownership of revenue leakage through Credits and Goodwill targets, driving reduction in credit per call handled metrics and implementing targets for the operation.

Working with the Senior Finance Manger this role will identify operational efficiency opportunities, review Business Cases (including Simplify) to ensure we continue to reduce Engineering costs and reduce revenue leakage.

What you'll be doing

• Commercial business partner to the Senior Business Partnering & Commercial Finance Manager
• Wholly responsible for the recommendation of budget EBITDA Engineering targets and production of the budget.
• Accountable for the reporting, monthly forecasting and tracking of financial performance of the Engineering & Compensation areas.
• Develop cost driver models to articulate variances to budget via operational metrics to drive efficiency.
• Compare and contrast across brands and within brands to highlight areas of inefficiency.
• Highlight any risks and opportunities to financial targets.
• Owner of business case sign-off.

The skills you'll need

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or an individual currently in the later stages of their finance qualification.
• Experience of finance business partnering to senior leaders.
• Budget and forecasting experience.
• Track record of influencing business and operational improvement.
• Working in a virtual team.
