Martech Data Engineer

We're looking for a technically talented and highly collaborative Martech data engineer to partner with our marketing function. This is a new specialist role which sits within the central data function which comprises data engineers, analytics engineers, analysts and data science / machine learning experts. This role is key to driving our next stage of business growth through enabling cost efficient customer acquisition and retention through data. So, what will you be doing?

• Integrate and maintain martech data pipelines, to enable us to scale marketing channels in existing and new geographies
• Build and maintain a best in class martech targeting and reporting capability both in platform (Meta, GTM, Iterable) and internally through DBT and Lightdash
• Adapt adtech targeting across paid and search channels to ensure we can achieve our marketing strategy and trading goals by implementing tags in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and managing Meta pixel event
• Ensure our internal metrics measured in ad platforms for targeting align with reporting in our BI platform (Lightdash)
• Architect and implement data models using SQL, Python and dbt to activate across acquisition and retention channels.
• Proactively identify new opportunities to improve our targeting performance through management in the ad platforms
• Define schemas to model tracking events, manage their evolution and release to production
• Work on managing, maintaining and debugging the web and app data and models in Snowflake and Lightdash, collaborating with the data team if needed

• Excellent experience in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Data Layer and tag management to create a maintainable solution in GTM, including testing
• Excellent experience in defining and maintaining events in Meta Pixel, to drive efficient ROAS in paid social channels
• Experience in using SQL (DBT) to understand the calculations behind internal BI reporting, through tools such as Lightdash or Looker, and to create and maintain analytics data models
• Experience integrating data between multiple marketing platforms
• Experience in defining schemas to model tracking events
• Experience engaging and managing Marketing stakeholders across acquisition/retention
• Expert marketing domain knowledge ideally in a digital e-commerce business
• Working knowledge of javascript and working with json data
• Experience with Google Analytics 360 and understanding of Google Analytics data
