We are excited to be recruiting a part-time GIS Support Consultant on a 5-month fixed-term contract. With flexible working arrangements, located in our Glasgow office if possible, you will provide ad hoc and routine GIS assistance to the project team, supporting the

with external consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.Prepare GIS data packages for issue to third parties, ensuring coordinate systems, metadata and file formats are suitable for use.Produce high-quality maps and figures to support development, consenting, land, environmental and stakeholder engagement activities.Prepare mapping outputs for reports, presentations, workshops, landowner discussions and regulatory submissions.Undertake ad hoc GIS analysis to support project decision making.Provide advice on GIS best practice, data standards and spatial data management.What You'll Deliver:Organised and maintained GIS data repository.GIS data packages for internal and external stakeholders.Project maps, plans and figures as requested.GIS analyses and supporting spatial data outputs.Recommendations for improving GIS data management and project GIS processes.Skills & Experience Required:Proven experience working with GIS and spatial data in a professional environment.Strong
working knowledge of GIS software and spatial data management.Experience working with GIS datasets such as shapefiles and geodatabases.Experience producing clear, accurate and professional maps, plans and figures.Experience undertaking spatial analysis, such as spatial queries, constraint analysis or route assessments.Strong understanding of coordinate systems, metadata, data formats and GIS data management principles.Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing spatial information.Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and ad hoc requests.This is a part-time role working 5 hours per week (typically across Tuesdays and/or Thursdays), with flexibility depending on project requirements. This will be for a temporary period of 5 months.Fred.
