Roofing Labourer- working at height required
Main Responsibilities:
1. To carry out the full duties associated with the trade of a Labourer/Driver including:
a) Carrying our deliveries normally within the borough.
b) Transport to site and erect easy deck scaffolding to be used by others to carry out work later return and safely dismantle and remove.
c) Picking up any rubbish and tipping within the borough.
d) Use Catscan in order to trace and identify pipe work and services in foot paths and verges prior to excavation work being carried out.
e) Working with other trades persons to assist and carry out breaking out and laying concrete/digging holes/ trenches/footing ladders.
f) Sweeping up/tidying sites and alike as directed by our supervisor.
3. Complete daily pro forma and other forms and provide simple reports as required.
4. Carry out work in accordance with agreed codes of safe working practice.
5. Take all reasonable care when working in a tenant’s property to protect the tenant’s furniture and fittings and generally to comply with Customer Care Code.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Must have working knowledge of general labouring including concreting.
• Must be willing to comply with agreed customer care code at all times.
• Must wear safety clothing supplied by Homes for Haringey.
• The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibility with due regard to Homes for Haringey Equal Opportunity Policy.
• Must work in a confined space under Flats Stairs and alike.
• Minimum of 2 years experience.
• Hold a current CSCS card.
• Hold a valid driving licence.
• Participation in Emergency Standby Service as and when required.
• Literate and Numerate.
• Must be able to deal sympathetically with tenants questions.
• Must be able to work off ladders and scaffolds.
