About the Role This full-time, permanent role supports a high-achieving Science faculty with a particular focus on advanced-level practicals for A-Level and university preparation. You will be responsible for preparing precise chemical solutions and setting up complex physics and biology apparatus. The role requires a candidate with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work with precision in a high-stakes academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precise molar solutions and microbiological media for senior-level practical experiments.

• Maintain the chemical inventory and ensure the safe disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with current legislation.

• Set up laboratory equipment daily across multiple venues, ensuring all safety checks are completed before students arrive.

• Assist in the maintenance of high-value scientific equipment, coordinating manufacturer inspections and repairs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a technician or experience working within a classroom setting.

• Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS.

Salary £30,000 – £34,500 per annum.
