The Opportunity
Ten10 is looking for a skilled Microservices Development Engineer to support delivery on a major client programme within the pensions sector.
In this role, you’ll work with cross-functional engineering teams building scalable, cloud-native platforms using microservices architecture, ensuring best practices are embedded and delivery runs smoothly.
You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of distributed systems, implement APIs, optimise performance, and support DevOps processes. You will also mentor peers, influence technical decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced technical environment.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications
Implement APIs for inter-service communication
Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of distributed systems
Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor services in cloud environments
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance
Contribute to architecture, platform standards, and best practices
Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing
What we’re looking for
Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Hands-on with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
Skilled in Agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
