Job Title: Part-Time Self-Employed Housekeeper - Occasional Childcare
Location: Chertsey, Surrey
Salary: Competitive hourly rate - £18-£20 per hour (self-employed)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 11:00am
Start Date: May 2026

Overview

A busy and friendly household in Chertsey, Surrey is seeking a reliable and experienced self-employed Nanny/Housekeeper to support the smooth running of the home during weekday mornings. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity ideal for someone organised, proactive, and confident managing a variety of household tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:

Washing up, drying, and putting items away
Loading and emptying the dishwasher
General tidying of the home and making beds
Cleaning and maintaining a high standard of organisation
Laundry care: washing clothes, bedding, and towels
Tumble drying, hanging, folding, and sorting laundry
Ironing and wardrobe management
Managing bins and recycling

Household Support:

Preparing breakfast and clearing up afterwards
Occasional food preparation for lunches and dinners
Running errands as required
Answering the door for deliveries and packages
Overseeing and providing access for tradespeople (e.g. plumbers, electricians, decorators)

Childcare Support (Ad Hoc):

Occasional and rare school drop-offs if needed
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a similar Nanny/Housekeeper role
Self-employed and able to manage own tax/NI contributions
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Trustworthy, dependable, and proactive
Able to work independently and use initiative
Flexible and happy to assist with a range of household tasks
