Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven UK teaching experience, ideally within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 focus)
• Strong behaviour management skills and ability to inspire learners
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Passion for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to diverse needs

Upper KS1 Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum, ensuring coverage of English, Maths, Science, and foundation subjects.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs), ensuring progress and attainment targets are met.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN and EAL.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages independence, resilience, and curiosity.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pastoral care.
