Reporting into the Fire Safety Manager, you will lead the delivery of a robust fire safety programme across their housing portfolio. You will ensure the safety of the boroughs residents and maintaining full compliance with fire safety legislation. In this role you will be responsible for conducting and managing fire risk assessments, ensuring timely follow-up on remedial actions and leading on fire safety projects from start to finish.
Your role as Interim Fire Risk Surveyor:
- Collaborate with the London Fire Brigade on post-incident investigations
- Provide expert technical guidance across the organisation
- Represent the Council at resident meetings and on fire safety matters
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure legal compliance
- Support procurement and maintain quality assurance standards
- Delivering high-quality fire safety outcomes
- Strong technical knowledge and risk assessment expertise
- Excellent project and stakeholder management
Your previous experience as Interim Fire Risk Surveyor:
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Management Certificate or equivalent Level 3 qualification
- Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, or a related field
- Membership with IFSM or IFE
- Specialist training in fire doors and fire stopping systems
- Proven experience managing fire safety in housing
- Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Familiarity with compliance software and the Landlord and Tenant Act
