Disrepair Inspector
Location: East London (Hybrid Working) Overview We are seeking a Disrepair Inspector to join a busy maintenance team within a leading housing organisation. This is a key role focused on ensuring high standards of repair and maintenance across a varied housing portfolio, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction. Duties Carry out pre- and post-inspections on repair works
Ensure all works meet required quality and compliance standards
Monitor and manage contractor performance
Identify defects and ensure timely remedial action
Prepare schedules of work and inspection reports
Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams
Support health & safety and regulatory compliance Requirements Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM
Good understanding of building construction, materials, and trades
Experience in property inspections or surveying
Experience working with contractors and/or DLOs
Ability to produce clear reports and schedules of work
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (and similar systems such as DRS) Benefits Market leading pension scheme
