Job Details
This is a chance to join a rapidly growing team within a highly reputable City firm. If you're an ambitious Construction & Projects Associate with 2-4 years of PQE looking to thrive in a full-service construction law team, this could be an excellent match.
This role will focus on non-contentious work, however, you will have many opportunities to support in a wide variety of work including contentious matters, so this role could suit someone looking for a pure non contentious role or a mixed role. The Firm / Department
Ranked as a leader in its field, this Top 50 law firm's full-service construction team offers both transactional advice and dispute resolution services for large-scale construction and engineering projects across the UK and internationally.
It is particularly well regarded for advising a diverse client base which ranges from real estate developers, housebuilders, property investment companies, contractors and subcontractors, to major engineering consultancies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction, Engineering & Projects Associate (2-4 PQE) to join a respected, collaborative London-based team where non-contentious work is emphasised, but there is flexibility to support a wide variety of both non-contentious and contentious matters.
You will enjoy a significant level of personal responsibility and direct client contact, working in an environment that values teamwork and support.
Responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships by providing timely, high-quality advice and managing expectations.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on construction and engineering-related documents, including contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds/guarantees, letters of intent, and reliance letters.
- In terms of potential contentious work if that is within your skillset, you can get involved in work such as adjudications, arbitrations, TCC litigation and ADR, dealing with a range of disputes including delay claims, quality issues, insolvency, bond claims, ACM-cladding/fire safety defects, professional indemnity, and insurance-related matters.
- Contributing to team knowledge, marketing, and know-how initiatives and ensuring compliance.
- An England & Wales-qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 2-4 years PQE.
- Experience and particular strength in non-contentious construction work.
- Confident and polished in both verbal and written communication, equally at home discussing complex legal issues with clients and technical experts.
- Flexible and proactive, willing to go the extra mile when needed.
- An outstanding opportunity to practise at the intersection of transactional and dispute resolution work in the construction sector with a carefully balanced caseload tailored to your strengths.
- Join a well-regarded and growing team that handles high-value, complex and high-profile projects both in the UK and overseas.
- Significant exposure, responsibility, and client engagement, within a supportive and progressive working environment.
This role offers a rare blend of cross-disciplinary construction law experience, professional development and client impact.
