Are you passionate about driving carbon reduction across the entirety of a buildings lifecycle? A leading, pragmatic MEP and sustainability consultancy is seeking a Whole Life Carbon (WLC) Consultant to join their Energy & Sustainability team.

This role is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact by helping clients reduce embodied carbon through expert analysis and strategic advice.

About the Consultancy
With deep expertise in MEP design, energy performance, and sustainability services, this consultancy delivers practical, innovative solutions from concept to completion. Their Energy & Sustainability team specialises in energy statements, dynamic thermal modelling, carbon benchmarking, and low-carbon technologies alongside traditional building accreditations such as BREEAM and EPCs.

The Role
As a Whole Life Carbon Consultant, you will:
Lead WLC and embodied carbon assessments for both new builds and refurbishments
Use lifecycle assessment tools to produce data-driven, actionable reports
Collaborate with MEP engineers and sustainability specialists to integrate low-carbon strategies early in the design process
Support energy statements, carbon benchmarking, and accreditation deliverables through a WLC lens
Communicate technical insights clearly to clients and internal project teams
Stay updated with evolving UK standards, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices
About You

You'll bring:
3-6 years' experience in sustainability consultancy with a strong focus on WLC or embodied carbon analysis
Proficiency with LCA tools (e.g., OneClick LCA or similar platforms)
A technical background-ideally in engineering or sustainability-and the confidence to work across multidisciplinary teams
A collaborative mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
A passion for sustainable, low-carbon design integrated into built-environment projects
