Cover Teacher

An excellent opportunity is now available for a Cover Teacher at a school in Wandsworth. This role would suit an experienced teacher looking for more flexibility in their working week or a newly qualified teacher who is looking to gain further experience in a wider range of year groups. As a Cover Teacher, you’ll be: Delivering pre-planned lessons, providing support and clarification so students can complete their work Encourage students to collaborate with others Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment Flexible and open to covering a variety of subjects and year groups For this Cover Teacher role, you’ll need to have: Experience working in a school Good knowledge of the national curriculum Confidence managing classrooms and working with varied abilities The hours for this Cover Teacher role are 8:30am-3:30pm, and there may be opportunities for a permanent contract later down the line if this is something you’re looking for. Applicants with QTS are preferred but it would also be great to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a step up.
