Role Purpose
We are recruiting an HGV Class 2 Hiab driver to join our Edgware team. This is a field-based, customer-facing role responsible for safely operating an HGV (Class 2) fitted with a Hiab to deliver materials to customers, load and unload on site using hydraulic lifting equipment, and represent the branch professionally. Load and secure vehicle loads in line with statutory and company guidelines, using appropriate load restraint and manual handling techniques where required.
Deliver high standards of customer service on-site, communicating professionally with customers and representing the Edgware branch positively.
Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signatures and proof of delivery, and update branch systems with delivery notes and any discrepancies.
Work with yard and branch colleagues to co-ordinate delivery schedules, report late or failed deliveries and assist with route planning as required.
Adhere to company health and safety policies, complete required risk assessments, follow safe working procedures and use PPE at all times.
Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle and Hiab equipment, report faults and arrange servicing as necessary.
