Field Retail Education Trainer

Sephora
London

At SEPHORA UK, beauty isn’t just what we sell - it’s who we are. It’s the freedom to express yourself, the thrill of discovering something new, and the power of belonging to a community that celebrates every identity. From our beginnings in France in 1969 to becoming part of the LVMH family, we’ve always pushed boundaries through creativity, innovation, and inclusivity.

Today, with nearly 500 iconic brands and our own SEPHORA Collection, we’re redefining the future of prestige beauty as we continue our bold expansion across the UK. If you’re ready to bring passion, energy, and a love for immersive retail experiences to one of the world’s most dynamic beauty markets, this is your moment to shape what comes next.

The Opportunity

As our Field Retail Education Trainer, you’ll bring SEPHORA’s retail education strategy to life across your region, helping our Cast Members build the confidence and capability to deliver unforgettable client experiences.

Working closely with Area Managers, HR Business Partners, Store Leaders, Beauty Advisors and Specialists, you’ll deliver engaging learning experiences and practical, in-the-moment coaching. From welcoming new starters to developing future leaders, you’ll help turn learning into lasting changes in behaviour, stronger store performance and opportunities for our people to grow.

This is a highly visible field role for someone who loves developing others, building trusted relationships and creating a culture where every day is a learning day. We have multiple opportunities including regional roles in London and the North.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Deliver SEPHORA University learning programmes across your region, bringing national education priorities to life in stores.
  • Deliver onboarding programmes for M&S, Boutiques and new starters, helping Cast Members build strong foundations from the outset.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom, virtual and in-store learning across product, service, leadership and commercial capability, adapting your approach to different audiences and store environments.
  • Coach Store Leaders, Beauty Advisors and Specialists, providing practical feedback that helps them apply their learning on the shop floor.
  • Support Store Leaders to identify individual and team development needs, agree clear actions and follow up on progress.
  • Embed SEPHORA’s service behaviours to support consistent, inclusive client experiences, using Love Meter and Mystery Shopping results to focus coaching where it matters most.
  • Build strong partnerships with Store and Regional Leaders and HR Business Partners, translating business priorities and capability gaps into targeted education and coaching.
  • Support new launches, key business initiatives and commercial priorities through relevant training and team engagement.
  • Work with the wider Retail Education team to deliver learning programmes consistently across the UK, sharing field insights to help improve our education offer.
  • Evaluate learning through knowledge retention, coaching follow-up and observable changes in behaviour, connecting development to client experience and store performance.
  • Use learning and performance insights to identify trends, refine development actions and ensure learning continues beyond the classroom.
  • Identify emerging talent and support future SEPHORA Leaders, Specialists and Experts through targeted coaching and opportunities to stretch their capabilities.
  • Contribute to succession planning with Store and Regional Leaders, helping Cast Members prepare for their next career step.
  • Champion continuous development, celebrate successes and share best practice across your region.

What you’ll bring…

You’ll be an engaging trainer and confident coach who brings energy, empathy and a practical approach to developing people. You’ll enjoy working alongside store teams, understanding their challenges and helping them turn learning into actions that make a difference for our clients and our business.

  • Strong experience in retail learning, training, coaching or people development, ideally within beauty, luxury or another fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Confident facilitation skills, with the ability to bring learning to life for different audiences across classroom, virtual and in-store settings.
  • Strong coaching capability, with the confidence to give constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how education can improve client experience and retail performance.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Store Managers, Regional Leaders and HR.
  • An analytical approach, with the ability to interpret learning and performance information and turn insights into focused development actions.
  • Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the independence to manage competing priorities across multiple stores.
  • An adaptable, solutions-focused approach and the ability to respond to changing business needs.
  • A genuine passion for developing people, recognising potential and creating opportunities for others to grow.
  • A commitment to role modelling SEPHORA’s values, learning culture and ambition to welcome everyone into the world of beauty.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with strong reporting and follow-up skills.
